Humm there is about 300 million Americans about 45-50 million on welfare or assistance. 800 BILLION for stimulus! 90 billion for 45-50 million people in the welfare Aka medicade. Even just counting about 600 billion being "spent" each American could get 200 million. It seems that would get people buying houses, cars ect. Rather than wasting it as it's clearly being... Where is this money going?

$800 billion for 2009 alone. How much was spent on Cash for Clunkers? Answer just under $3 billion. A most successful program that got 690,000 old vehicles off the road, kept workers employed, and improved gas mileage by 58% over the old cars that were replaced. Yes, less than 0.5% of the 2009 stimulus amount was spent on this beneficial program - this program could have continued for years with a relatively small expenditure and accomplished much of what this administration is trying to now with jobs and keeping the consumer stoking the economy. Terminating this program and continuing to throw money at other areas which still show little improvement is just another example of what's wrong with Washington.
